Scope of Work

What a Renton general contracting includes

Every remodel is scoped to your home, your written estimate lists exactly what's included. A sample of what we cover:

Whole-home and multi-room remodels managed end to end
Every trade coordinated under one contract: framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, tile, paint, and finish
Design guidance, feasibility, and realistic budgeting before you commit
Permits pulled and inspections scheduled, so you never deal with the city
Licensed, vetted subcontractors we have worked with for years, held to our standard and our schedule
Structural changes: wall removal and load-bearing reconfiguration, engineered to code
One point of contact and one line-item estimate for the entire job
Final walkthrough and punch list, the project is not done until you sign off

Scope drives the schedule: a focused multi-room remodel runs a few weeks, a whole-home project a few months. You get a realistic timeline at estimate, and we hold to it.

Local Knowledge

Remodeling Renton homes

Renton spans post-war Highlands homes, 1980s–90s Fairwood and Benson Hill developments, and newer construction near the Landing. It's one of our most active King County areas, close enough for easy scheduling, with a housing mix where kitchen and bathroom updates deliver obvious value.

Permits: the City of Renton Permit Services Division issues residential permits. We handle the entire permit process, applications, plan documents, and inspection scheduling, on every project.

What clients say when the dust settles

★★★★★

DA Interior Solutions handled our kitchen remodel start to finish, they even created a custom pantry for me. They brought my Pinterest board vision to life. Adam and Devon were great to work with. If you're remodeling in the South Sound, these are the guys to call.

DA Interiors exceeded our expectations PERIOD. Don't let their youthful appearance fool you, they are hardworking, diligent, honest, skilled and respectful. Our three bathrooms were demolished and transformed into a beautiful work of art.

Mark Ito · Google Review · Jul 2026
★★★★★

DA Interior Solutions redesigned two bathrooms for us and completed a kitchen remodel. We couldn't be happier with the results. They were a pleasure to work with, often going above and beyond expectations. On budget and on time, we would love to work with them again on any future projects.

Budget & Planning

What to expect on cost

A general-contracted project is priced as one line-item scope, not a stack of separate bids you have to reconcile. We break out each trade and phase so you see where the budget goes, and one contract means one party accountable for the result, not a finger-pointing chain of subs.

Q & A

Questions, answered straight

What does a general contractor actually do for me?

We are the single point of accountability for the whole project: design and feasibility, permits, hiring and scheduling every trade, keeping the job on budget and on schedule, and passing inspection. You make the decisions; we handle the coordination, the subs, and the city.

Do you self-perform or use subcontractors?

Both. We self-perform the core remodeling and finish work and bring in licensed specialty trades, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, where code and quality demand it. The difference with us is that those subs are people we have worked with for years and who answer to us, not to you.

Can you handle permits and structural changes?

Yes, completely. We handle permit applications, plan documents, and inspections, and we coordinate engineering for load-bearing walls and structural reconfiguration so the changes are done to code and signed off.

Which Renton neighborhoods do you serve?

All of Renton, including Renton Highlands, Fairwood, Benson Hill, Kennydale, plus the surrounding King County area. We're about 35 minutes from our shop.

Who handles remodel permits in Renton?

For projects in Renton, the City of Renton Permit Services Division issues residential permits. We prepare and submit all permit applications and schedule every inspection on your behalf, you never deal with the counter.
